You've probably seen the ads on TV... a depiction of a computer running very slowly or even crashing, then an energetic spokesperson comes on and talks about how they discovered FinallyFast.com and now their computer is running faster than ever before. So the first thing you might be thinking is "what am I waiting for!?".  Hold on.

For me, one of the first things I noticed that didn't seem right was that they depicted a MacBook computer with a Windows Blue-Screen-Of-Death error message. While Macs can run Windows, and Windows running on a Mac is still just as prone to BSOD errors as any other Windows installation, I doubt that was the intended message of the advertiser. Instead it looked like a poor computer-generated replica of an error message, artifically plastered on the MacBook screen.

Then there's the scene in the ad showing downloads progressing much faster after using FinallyFast.com. I beg to differ. While spyware and viruses running on a Windows PC can and certainly do slow systems down, in most cases they have little affect on the actual transfer rate of file downloads unless the spyware app or virus is itself a bandwidth hog. Usually the cause of a slow download is a slow Internet connection, and that is an issue to take up with your ISP.

So the verdict? Ignore the advertisements because it's another one of those "too good to be true" commercials. In fact, I would not be at all surprised if your computer didn't run any better at all after giving your money to FinallyFast.com.
