Cornhusker Tech offers a limited website development service in conjunction with hosting products. This service is targeted to the personal and micro-business market and provides a quality, economic alternative to larger and more expensive design services. You must sign up for hosting services in order to receive development services.
Templates
Cornhusker Tech development services are intended for customers whose domains are hosted with Cornhusker Tech. Cornhusker Tech does not accept development transfers from previous designers unless the previous site is also built for the Joomla 1.5 platform. Apart from that one exception, all sites must be created new so if you would like to transfer an existing site, please note that you will have to either (a) have a new site built, or (b) use Cornhusker Tech hosting but receive development services from a different provider. Cornhusker Tech will cooperate fully with your designer/coder in order to ensure that full access to any required services, such as FTP and the control panel, are available.

Fees
Home page - basic site, all photos and logos provided; no graphic artwork needed: $75
Small Business Package - up to 4 pages, color matching, and photo editing: $300
E-commerce - all the features of the Small Business Package plus PayPal or equivalent shopping cart integration; will work with you in order to set up a shopping cart (includes up to 4 pages, plus up to 10 items in shopping cart): $550
Additional fees:
New pages (beyond what is included in your package): $14
Additional shopping cart items: $3/item.
The Joomla software is set up for self-editing. However, if you need assistance with editing or want me to do it, it will be $10 per modified page.
Custom installation items (message boards, Facebook integration, polls, etc.) are billed at $48.00 per hour. Contact Cornhusker Tech for a precise quote. (Be as detailed as possible as far as number of pages intended, photos, custom graphics, if any custom applications are desired, etc.)
If you need a domain name, you may purchase domain names through Cornhusker Tech for $10.00 per year.
Materials Submission
After the domain name is ordered or transferred, site setup can begin. The customer may e-mail files to Cornhusker Tech or burn files to a disc and mail them to Cornhusker Tech. Under no circumstances will printed material be accepted.
All materials must be submitted within 21 days of confirmation of a design order, with a targeted 30-day total turnaround time.
Consultations
Cornhusker Tech does not include any free in-person visits with website development orders. However, I understand that some may prefer face-to-face meetings prior to conducting business. I would be willing to set up a meeting with you if desired, but please note that mileage charges plus a rate of $48/hr. for my time will be charged.
In the event a training session is needed for self-serve website maintenance, a $30 trip fee, actual time billing at $48/hr., and a $2/mo. maintenance fee will all be assessed above regular hosting and development charges. For valued customers who are not tech-savvy, no problem -- Cornhusker Tech services are for you -- it's recommended that you select either a managed site by Cornhusker Tech (where you do not have to maintain it yourself) or read the Joomla! help pages and tutorials on the Joomla! website so as to get familiar with the system.
Ongoing Maintenance
As previously stated, Cornhusker Tech development services run on the Joomla! content management system platform. Joomla! includes an easy-to-use control panel that allows you to make your own changes if desired. Or, for those who prefer to submit changes to Cornhusker Tech, rates are just $10.00 per updated page and $14.00 per new page.
Additional Services
$48/hour. Cornhusker Tech will contact the customer for confirmation prior to beginning work. If the requested work order cannot be completed as requested, no fee will be assessed. The customer is responsible for purchasing any additional services in the customer's name, and then providing any required information or software to Cornhusker Tech.
Payment Terms
Payment accepted via check or PayPal (subject to handling charge if credit card payment is used). All invoices have a 20-day grace period, after which a 10% finance charge will be compounded monthly. Services will be suspended until receipt of payment after 60 days of non-payment. Cornhusker Tech reserves the right to allow domain registration to expire in case of non-payment and may not reactivate an expired domain name until payment has cleared. Expired domains may be claimed by other parties.
