Cornhusker Tech also offers home network setup and troubleshooting (wired, wireless, powerline) as well as small office network troubleshooting and wireless setup.

Having problems with your wireless network signal? It could be that there's interference on the channel on which your wireless router transmits. Cornhusker Tech can do a quick site survey to determine which channels are in use at your location and reprogram your router to transmit on an open channel for maximum range and performance.

Services & Prices

Wireless

  • Wireless Network Setup (includes channel optimization and router/device setup) - $40 + $7 per computer/device
  • Wireless Network Troubleshooting (includes channel optimization) - $30

Wired (Powerline or Ethernet)

  • Wired Network Setup (ethernet cables already present, or in-wall infrastructure already installed) - $25 + $7 per computer/device
  • Wired Network Setup (wires not present) - hourly rate applies; ability to perform task depends on situation (e.g. amount of drilling required) and will be evaluated first.

Home Networking Total Package

  • Tier 1 - $50 - includes setup of Internet access modem (Cox, Qwest/CenturyLink, Time Warner, or Windstream), wireless router with wired access to nearby computers and whole-house signal optimization; up to 3 total computers or devices (gaming console, iOS devices, etc.) tested
  • Tier 2 - $70 - includes setup of Internet access modem (Cox, Qwest/CenturyLink, Time Warner, or Windstream), wireless router with wired access to nearby computers and whole-house signal optimization; up to 5 total computers or devices tested and installed
  • Tier 3 - $90 - includes setup of Internet access modem (Cox, Qwest/CenturyLink, Time Warner, or Windstream), wireless router with wired access to nearby computers as well as powerline installation for hard-to-reach areas, or additional hubs for extending the reach of a wired network.

Cornhusker Tech does not provide enterprise services.  Technical support or on-site assistance is not available for servers or enterprise-grade routers.

Prices assume all items have already been purchased; if you are unsure what to buy, contact me and I will prepare a shopping list for you.  If you prefer that I purchase the items, please note that a surcharge or trip fee may apply unless I have time to pre-order items from a preferred discount supplier.
